Sivananda inspired Hatho *includes headstands/variations
This is a Level 2 – 3 Sivananda inspired Hatha class. It is suitable for those who already have a practice and wish to deepn their practice. We will explore Pranayama (breath work), warm up the spine and the rest of the body with Sun Salutations. We will then strengthen the core with leg lifts and flow through the foundational asanas (Headstands, Shoulder Stand, Plow, Fish, Sitting Forward Fold, Cobra, Locust, Bow, Spinal Twist, Crow, Standing Forward Fold, and Triangle.). Along with the core Asanas, there will be offered some fun variations and supporting poses that will vary each week. We will end with some suggestive relaxation. Before attempting a headstand or other advanced movements, please consult your physician, those with high blood pressure, back or neck issues shoulder avoid advanced movements.
